Special Needs Ministry.
Rooted in the belief that every person is created in the image of God and uniquely gifted, our special needs ministry provides a welcoming space where all can grow in faith, experience belonging, and participate fully in the life of the church. The Special Needs Ministry exists to minister to children and adolescents (ages 5-20) with cognitive and physical impairments by helping them to have a personal relationship with God, to integrate them into the life of the Church, and to give them the opportunity to have active roles in serving God. We desire for them to experience the joy of knowing that they are valuable to God and to God’s people.

Special Needs Ministry
What We Do
BUDDY BREAK PROGRAM: a free, community outreach program that provides respite support for parents and caregivers of children and adolescents with special needs. We meet the 2nd Friday of every month, 6:30-9:00pm. During this time each child receives one-on-one care from a trained and compassionate “Buddy” volunteer. Children participate in a welcoming environment filled with games, crafts, songs and other fun activities.
This is a free program, yet a preliminary interview and registration is required.

Sunday Kids' Ministry
Coming Soon
A weekly opportunity for children with special needs to participate in the Kids Ministry Sunday School program of Ridgeway Church. Children will be integrated into existing classes while being accompanies by supportive “Buddy” volunteers. A sensory room will be available for children who may need to step out of the classroom for a quiet break.
