Matt Ro has served in full-time ministry over the last 25 years in various capacities. He started his ministry journey in Philadelphia as an associate pastor, then planted a church in Atlanta which he led for 15 years. During his tenure there, he also planted a church in North Carolina. Most recently he served as the executive pastor at Church of the City New York before receiving the call to lead Ridgeway Church White Plains.


Believing that the local church is how God will transform nations, Matt is deeply committed to forming and maturing people within the church to mobilize them for Kingdom work outside of the church. His heart is to nurture deep engagement in the Word along with intimacy with the Father through worship and prayer. When equipped in both Spirit and Truth, Matt believes the church can transform the home, the marketplace, and the arts for the Glory of God.


Matt earned his B.A. in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and his M.Div from Biblical Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing his DMin from Roberts Wesleyan University in Global Leadership. He and his wife, Julia, have been married for 18 years and have 3 daughters. He enjoys hiking, playing guitar, and rooting for all Detroit sports (win or lose).
